Stop comparing the accusations of sexual harassment against Herman Cain to Bill Clinton’s sexual affair as though they are morally equivalent. Just because they’re both scandals related to sex, does not mean they are equally problematic. Sexual harassment is always a violation, and in some cases, a crime. Infidelity is a sign that you’re a shitty husband, and depending on the nature of your politics, a shameless hypocrite. One involves consent, the other does not. Do both warrant scrutiny? Sure, maybe. Should we be equally troubled by both? No. And the fact that some are equating the two scandals is absurd and disgusting.
