It’s recently come to my attention that my friends are ellipsis whores. It used to confuse me and all of our gchat conversations would leave me mildly flustered. Discovering that the more egregious offenders were just using them gratuitously with NIGH ON FLAGRANT DISREGARD for their intended purpose was such a revelation - and a relief. Before, I was constantly on edge that there was some unspoken meaning they were insinuating and/or that they were about to give me terrible news. Now I know they’re just too lazy to complete an actual sentence. Thank God we cleared that up. The stress was really getting to me.
